About the Daggermen Map

  • It is drawn here, not fetched from anywhere. No map company gets told which countries a veteran was looking at, and the page works the same whether or not somebody else's servers are up.
  • You only ever see what you could read. A country lights up because there is a yarn there for you — a members-only story marks the map for members and not for a visitor, and a story written for women marks it for the women it was written for.
  • Where a yarn happened is the author's choice and nobody else's. It is optional, capped at 5, and never guessed from anything. A yarn with no country is not missing from this site, only from this page.
  • Some places have no shape. The outlines are a world map, not a full list of territories — a few of the smaller ones can be tagged and read but are not drawn. They are in the list above all the same.
